Jose L. Sanchez, AIA, LEEP AP – Founding Principal, Praxis Architecture

Jose L. Sanchez is a Miami-based architect and the founding principal of Praxis Architecture. Known for blending tropical modernism with formal abstraction, his work thoughtfully merges indoor and outdoor environments while emphasizing sensory experience and spatial clarity. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Jose studied architecture at UNPHU in Santo Domingo and later earned a Master’s in Architecture from Pratt Institute. He developed his design expertise through leadership roles in prominent NYC firms, including Perkins Eastman. Since founding Praxis in 2003, Jose has been instrumental in shaping Miami’s residential architecture, particularly through innovative, site-specific solutions rooted in tropical design principles.
